The day is in 2 parts: first we’ll go foraging and then we’ll get in the kitchen to cook with recipes using foraged foods and exciting wild flavours.
In the morning’s foraging lesson, I’ll introduce you to the fantastic edible plants and fungi in season in mid-October. I’ll teach you how to identify these edibles and medicinals for yourself and how to tell them apart from the nasties. We’ll forage beautiul fresh ingredients to use in the afternoon’s dishes.
Back at the cooking school in Farsley I’ll teach you how to make savoury and sweet dishes with what we’ve picked. I’ll also bring along other interesting ingredients and preserves, tipples, syrups, vinegars and pickles for you to try too!
Places are strictly limited, and it’s a very small group, so book early to avoid disappointment. Booking is secured on payment. Tickets are: £120 per person – to include a foraging lesson, lunch, all ingredients, and use of the gorgeous kitchens and equipment at the Get Cooking! cookery school.
