Happy St George’s day (for yesterday!) 🙂
After no sign of white domes nestled in the grass on my Leeds spring foraging course on Sunday, I checked another li’l St George’s patch I know of on the way back home, on the off-chance I might find some buttons to enjoy on 23 April, and yay! There were just enough to make a meal with ♡
I rustled up a seriously scrumptious plate of St G’s creamy sauce with a dash of sherry, ramson buds & a powder made with 20+ varieties of wild mushroom in it, poured over an aged organic sirloin steak done medium-rare, wild garlic & three-cornered leek champ mash & sautéed common hogweed shoots & common sorrel flowers, topped with pan-fried StG slices & dog violets ♡
